Mount Tokachi is a live volcano at the southern end of the Daisetsuzan national Park. Actually the live volcano is “Mae Takashi” or “Front Tokachi.” The main peak is actually behind it.
On this day we had a group from Scotland and Australia. It’s not often that you can combine really good weather with fantastic snow but today we had it. The wind steadily increased and at the peak it was a very strong making for difficult conditions to change over to downhill mode.
