Bakery Training Programme
Fifteen Days Bakery Training Programme was successfully conducted at IHM Dehradun from 27th January 2021 to 12th February 2021. The programme was sponsored by Uttarakhand Gramya Vikas Samiti (UGVS) a unit of Rural Development Department of Uttarakhand. The programme was attended by fourteen participants from three districts of Uttarakhand viz. Bageshwar (04 nos.), Almora (06 nos.) and Chamoli (04 nos.).
The participants were given hands-on-training in different bakery products. They were given practice in making Fatless Sponge and Soft Rolls, Butter of Sponge and Plain Bread, Fruit Cake and Milk Bread, Muffins and Garlic Leaf, Chocolate Sponge and Bread Sticks, Eggless Sponge and Eggless Brownie, Cake Rusk and Truffle Pudding, Puffy Pastry and Pastries, Assorted Pastries and Black Forest Cake, Burger Buns Mousse, B&B Pudding Truffle cake, Brown Bread, Choco Éclairs Croissant, Pista Biscuits, Jam Cookies, Coconut Cookies, Choco Cookies etc. Mandua or Ragi, local Uttarakhand Millet was also used in the preparation of above items. Some of the items in which Mandua was extensively used were Mandua Cake, Mandua Cookies, Mandua Biscuits, Mandua Brea, Mandua Rusk and many more.
