Slab built pots, from start to finish.

I’ve been making more of these ceramic pieces where I wrap clay around wooden blocks. This way of working helps to retain the soft feel of the clay in the fired final pieces. This video follows the journey of the pieces from making and constructing the slabs through to adding slips, engobes and underglazes and then onto analysing the fired final pieces and the process of making decisions about whether a piece is finished or not.
