So today we finally start assembling the motor on the slammed sierra. I wanted to add a new cam in the 5.3 while it was out. I wanted a small cam that would work with a stock converter. I also wanted to add some things like ls9 head gaskets, head studs and oil drain to the 5.3 in case I decided to add a turbo down the road. While a 5.3 swap can be cheap this one has cost a little due to the new parts added. I think it will be a fun truck to drive and should make good power. I have way more to go but this will be a good start. Cammed 5.3 Sierra, What can be better? Boosted 5.3 Maybe?
