Slot Cars: Thunderjet Chevy Belair vs El Camino on Train Layout

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Video showing slot cars and trains running for your entertainment. Model Railroad & Slot Car HO Racing Layout: Cars racing: Auto World Chevy Belair Thunderjet vs Auto World Chevy El Camino Thunderjet. These two vehicles are from Deluxe Pit Kits that were painted and assembled. HO Scale Trains in video: Chicago & North Western GP 50 diesel (Athearn) locomotives and freight cars. These Deluxe Pit Kits had to be painted and assembled. The slot cars worked well with no glitches noted so far and were fun to run around the track in the new direction. They stayed on the track very well going quite fast in speed on the straightaway tracks. The El Camino tended to faster. The cars had nice range of speeds on the Parma controllers, so they could be slow through the curves and also sprint on straightaways. The occasional times car wheels lose contact with the road is when they get bumped by the other car, or swerve on a curve or go too fast. Video is not at all in order or continuous, the one camera on tripod was moved around various viewing angles during the race and the clips were edited and intermingled. Slot Car Track layout has been engineered to keeps cars rolling. Track sections have jumper soldered wiring. Also feed wires go to several of these jumper wires. The self-paint jobs are not all that great, but the Deluxe Pit Kits were successfully assembled and actually work well. Surprising, even though I assembled the chassis (using lighted, magnifying glasses).
