Smögen is one of Sweden's most popular and picturesque coastal towns, located in the province of Västra Götaland. The small island and the town of the same name are known for their colorful fishing huts that line the Smögenbryggan, a wooden bridge about 600 meters long. The bridge is the heart of the town and attracts numerous visitors in the summer who enjoy the charming atmosphere and enjoy the local fish specialties in numerous restaurants.

Smögen is famous for its fishing tradition and its first-class seafood and is one of the main hubs of the Swedish fishing industry. Here you can buy fresh fish, crabs, shrimps and other delicacies directly from the fishermen or enjoy them in the restaurants. A special highlight is the "Smögenräkor", the particularly sweet and tender crabs, which are among the best in Sweden.

The nature around Smögen is breathtaking. The granite rocks that surround the island are characteristic of the Bohuslän coast and offer excellent opportunities for hiking and exploring. A particularly popular walk is the so-called "Kungshamn Trail", which offers wonderful views of the sea and the archipelago.

Smögen is also a perfect starting point for activities on the water. Whether sailing, kayaking or boat tours through the archipelago - there is a wide range of options. Smögen is also a paradise for divers who can explore the underwater world of the archipelago.

Smögen is a great travel destination that impresses with its mix of maritime flair, culinary delights and impressive nature.
