Catch and cook fishing for Queenfish just outside of Darwin Harbour. Cooked in the Char-Broil "The Big Easy" roaster smoker. This is the biggest Queenfish I have ever caught fishing.
I caught it on my Shimano Barra Raider rod, and Shimano Stradic 2500 reel, which was small gear for a fish this big.
The NT Water Police pulled me up on the way home for a safety check. They were obviously in a good mood, letting me go with a warning and to make sure I go and grab a V Sheet before next time I'm on the water.

See that big bloke in front of the camera? Yea, that's me. G’day folks, I’m Mikey Cunningham. I’m not only the bloke in front of the camera, I do all the work behind the camera too. I mostly make fishing videos.
I live in Darwin in Australia's Northern Territory. Also known as the "Top End." A lot of my older videos are from the Gulf of Carpentaria, when I lived in a little fishing village called King Ash Bay Fishing Club. It's located on the banks of the McArthur River downstream from Borroloola in the Northern Territory. I still go back there a few times a year and make fishing videos of my fishing trips.
