#70 In this electronics tutorial I look at how power stages, either simple or with multiple transistors can be driven using a pulse transformer. This is a technique usually applied in isolated switch mode power supplies (smps) but it can be used in any circumstance depending on the needs. I first look at some general operating principles behind the transformer and then try things out on a practical circuit.
