A recent winter storm created quite an historical event in our area. We do not normally see huge pile ups, but we had one early 2022. Interstate 55 was shut down for around 67 miles through Southeast Missouri to the Arkansas state line. I believe they said there were over 300 separate crashes and/or slide-offs during a very short span of time at the height of the storm. During Major Event Planning, resources are identified. We were ONE of the MANY resources called up during this Major Event. The event was south of our normal service area, so we weren't called in immediately. Besides, we were quite busy in our own area. I can only imagine what the Emergency Services and other resources had to deal with in the beginning of the chaos. We were grateful to be called upon to assist even in a small way comparatively. Again, I wish to thank everyone who has expressed their prayers and/or condolences for the death of my Dad.
