╰┈➤ Age regression is a coping mechanism and or a defense mechanism that involves a person reverting to a younger state of mind. Sometimes it’s a few years younger, other times it’s as far as infancy. Age regression is a recognized psychological response to childhood trauma and is recommended by many therapists and mental health clinicians as a way to help manage trauma and PTSD. Of course not everyone who age regresses has experienced trauma. Some people use age regression to help deal with the stresses of growing up.
