Roofs perform the best when they are free from any foreign materials sitting on its surface. As soon as something is placed on top of a roof, leakage problems arise.
Solar panels are a prime example of foreign objects introducing fresh roof leaks. Yes, if you install solar panels on your roof, you may have just compromised its waterproofing function.
So, what are the problems with installing solar panels on Sydney roofs?
Most of these problems do not show up during the warranty period. We are starting to experience problems quite a few years on.
Maybe it is time to up the game on solar panel installations?
