HACK TO SEE DISTANCE TRAVELLED IN A GIVEN DATE RANGE (see 20:25)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) In the Solid GPS dashboard, go to Account and create a custom report for the date range in question. When it arrives in your email open it in Excel
2) Insert two columns to the right of column C (Latitude/Longitude) and call these Latitude and Longitude in D1 and E1 respectively, and then in cell K1 type ‘Distance (km) since last point’
3) In cell D2 type the formula =TEXTSPLIT(C2,",","|",TRUE,0,0) – this will put the Latitude in column D and the Longitude in column E. Fill these down to the bottom of the table.
4) In cell K2 type the formula =TRUNC(ACOS(COS(RADIANS(90-D2)) * COS(RADIANS(90-D3)) + SIN(RADIANS(90-D2)) * SIN(RADIANS(90-D3)) * COS(RADIANS(E2-E3))) * 6371, 2) then fill column K to the second to bottom cell of the table, not the bottom one. This will show you the distance between the coordinates in that row and the ones in the next row, and display them to two decimal places.
5) You can then drag down over column K to view the sum of distances between dates, or use the AUTOSUM function in Excel at the top of column K to add up all the distances
