Welcome to Algonquin Park!
If you're new to the channel, my name is Eze (short for Ezequiel) and my passion is outdoor adventure.
Join me on this episode as I travel to the Northern part of Algonquin Park, in search of deep solitude.
With the autumn colours in full force, this was a sensory overload not to be missed.
Starting from Cedar Lake, I travelled up the Petawawa river via several portages (some very long!), made my way up to Catfish Lake, continued onto Burntroot, passed via Whiskeyjack Lake and finally travelled back downstream on the Nippissing river (great Brook Trout fishing!).
In the entire time I saw under a handful of people, with several days going by not seeing anyone at all. For such a popular park, I was blessed to have this area virtually all to myself, and to top it all off... SUMMER weather!!
The stars aligned for me on this trip with wildlife, seeing 2 bull moose, hundreds of birds, owls, otters, beavers and the brook trout fishing was awesome. On the smaller critter side, toads, chipmunks and monarch butterflies
