Hi Guys! Wow...we did it! Northern California and the High Sierra broke a snowfall record for the month of December with 202"+ !! The previous record was established in December 1970 with 179". I get my winter camping gear and go snow camping in the record breaking snow. I set up a camp in the Plumas National Forest, cook homemade Chili and tell the story of the Beckwourth Pass and Donner Pass with the Trans- Continental Railroad that came right through the Sierra Nevada Mountains starting in 1869! Happy New Year! Keep Hiking! Base Camp Chris Travel California https://www.visitcalifornia.com/ Plumas National Forest https://www.fs.usda.gov/plumas/
