Full transparency — this was March of 2024, and as I'm approaching my 25th (back in Colombia), I'm realizing how behind I am on content!
This trip to Peru, namely Machu Picchu, was an eye-opener for me. I'm notorious for trying to pile things on top of each other, tetrising my days and just dealing with the exhaustion afterwards because the experiences were "worth it." And for a while, it was. But now that I'm older, I'm learning the value of slowing down.
I love my own company. I love being in my own thoughts. I hate crowds. These things have always been true, yet I keep testing them.
But this trip? It was the turning point. Too bad I had already planned a 10-countries-in-seven-weeks whirlwind adventure right after this. Stay tuned for that chaos.
For now, I hope you enjoy this birthday trip—one that changed the way I see travel... and myself.
