I solo climb a First Free ascent on Gloppedalen North Wall. The top pitch was a little bit unexpected! Along the route i take you along some of the basic rope solo techqniues and systems that i use.
The route had originally been done half free and half aid. It was then attempted all free by Jon Egil and Yatzi in 2019 who got thwarted by rainstorms near the top and had to make an 'upward aid bail'.
The free/aid line was orginally climbed by Stein-Ivar Gravdal and Bjorn-Eivind Arthun, named Vorspiel and given a grade of A2+/7. In the end the crux corner pitch went at a grade of about E5.
