The kind of day you dream about when it comes to metal detecting.
I was out in the woods looking for a cellar hole, find a foundation but it was full of trash and junk so I started walking along the old rock wall. First signal on my Fisher F19 was ringing up between 83 and 90 which I was not sure if it was going to be good. Started digging and popped out a silver dime ! whoa that's good. then dug another and then couldn't believe what I saw had been thrown out of the dirt in between digging the other coins. A massive silver coin ! This is my first silver dollar find and it is from 1890 which is just fantastic. Amazing how the day can turn around with metal detecting and you really never know where or when your going to find something fantastic. We don't see too many coin spills out in the woods never mind old ones at old places with silver coins in them. I will never forget this day.
