Sonic the Hedgehog is back in a brand new adventure! Learning that Angel Island has fallen into the ocean once again, Sonic and his pal Tails quickly take off to find the source of the trouble. Upon reaching the island, Sonic finds a group of Egg Robos digging up a mysterious purple gemstone. This so-called "Phantom Ruby" transports Sonic and Tails back to the Green Hill Zone, but things aren't exactly the same as Sonic remembers them...
