= Plot =
After Sonic defeats Dr. Eggman in his space base, Sonic once again has saved the island, but it seems that Eggman has fallen in Emerald Hill Zone. Sonic & Tails go to see what happened to Eggman, they search of looks to be the remains of the Death Egg Robot, but suddenly the doctor sets up a trap causing Sonic to get hurt, while he grabs Tails and makes an escape. Sonic will have to save his best friend from the clutches of Dr. Eggman!

The demo shows off the first 4 zones from the original game, with additions such as remixes to familiar boss battles and discovering the Chaos Emeralds, hidden in each act.
