I wanted to platinum this before the Sonic 3 movie so I am glad I finally got to!
Sonic Unleashed is an action-adventure game in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, released in 2008 for multiple platforms, including the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii. The game features a story where Sonic must save the world from destruction caused by the evil Dr. Eggman.
The game begins with Sonic racing to stop Dr. Eggman, who has successfully captured and unleashed a dark force known as *Dark Gaia*. In the process, Sonic is accidentally transformed into a werehog, a beastly version of himself with enhanced strength and the ability to battle enemies in a more physical style. The transformation happens after Dark Gaia is shattered by Eggman, and the planet is split into pieces, causing chaos and destruction.
Sonic is now tasked with reassembling the world by gathering the Chaos Emeralds and defeating the monsters that have been awakened by the chaos energy. Throughout the game, Sonic travels around the globe, visiting different countries and locations, from lush forests to ancient ruins, to restore balance.
Along the way, Sonic encounters *Chip*, a mysterious creature who has lost his memory. Chip reveals that he is the key to restoring the planet and returning Sonic to his original form. Together, they work to defeat Dr. Eggman and prevent the full awakening of Dark Gaia, which would destroy the world.
Sonic Unleashed combines traditional high-speed Sonic gameplay during the day, where players control Sonic in his classic form to race through fast-paced, platforming stages. At night, Sonic transforms into the werehog, which shifts the gameplay style to a more slow-paced, beat-em-up action, where players fight off hordes of enemies and solve puzzles.
