Danielle was given the chance to test the 3-year-old Sony A9ii for wildlife photography on safari and asks the question - is it still relevant in the fast-changing world of mirrorless technology in 2022?
Danielle is a Nikon shooter so she also wanted to know what it might be like to switch to Sony.
At Pangolin photo safari many of our clients arrive with Sony gear so it's always good for us to have practical experience with all the major brands. We are in no way affiliated with Sony so this is Danielle's honest experience with the camera. Danielle usually shoots Nikon so she was particularly interested to see how they differ in feel and function.
She tested the tracking and recognition capabilities in different situations on different subjects from small birds to large mammals and gives her thoughts on what it might be like to switch from Nikon to sony as well as DSLR to mirrorless.
