Sony Vaio PCG C2GPS (Rare, 1999) Teardown: SSD Upgrade, Front light testing
Replacing the 2.5" HDD in a Sony Vaio PCG-C2GPS with a CF adapter. Disassembling the screen to check the LCD panel model. Disassembling the Front Light Unit. Testing out the front light under different lighting conditions. This model is based the 2nd generation C1 Picturebook, ie C1XE, so the same procedures will apply.
* Update: I assumed LEDs since I didn't see any kind of inverter, but upon further discussion it sounds like white LEDs were very rare at this time, most likely the inverter is hidden in the hinge and this is CCFL
