Here's a 1990's Sony Walkman WM-FX50 personal stereo tape player & radio which "sort of" works. In one tape direction it works fine but in the other it does nothing but make a clicking nose.
In this video, I look at the symptom, disassemble the case and replace the belt.
The replacement belt came from eBay seller "Mana_Tree" and cost under $10 USD.
