Sour Herb Dhal | Perima's Kitchen Recipe!
Ingredients:
Sour herbs ( Sorrel herbs ) 1 - 2 bunches ( your preference )
Pea Dhal 1.5 cups to 2 cups ( 325g to 500grams )
0.5tsp of Turmeric
Garlic cloves ( optional )
Salt
Boiling water
Add some Tamarind water to make it more sour ( optional )
Oil
1 Levelled tsp of Mustard seeds
Less than 0.5tsp of Cumin / Jeera seeds
2 Dried Red chillies
2 Green chillies
1 Sliced Onion
Fresh Curry leaves
Half a tsp of crushed Ginger and garlic or more crushed garlic
Less than a 0.25tsp of Turmeric
1 levelled tsp of Kashmiri chilli powder
1 Small diced Tomato
A sprinkle of salt
Less than 0.25tsp of Sugar
