こんにちは。ここのところアリゾナは朝晩涼しく、今日やっと重い腰を上げて衣替えしたところです。かと言え、日中は半袖でも大丈夫なくらい暖かい日も多いので、コーディネートに戸惑うことも多いのも事実。アリゾナはこれからがシーズンで、ツーリストも多くなり、スノーバードと呼ばれる人たちも北の方からやってきます。
さて今日は、自家製のサワー種を使った朝ごはんとコーヒ―、そしてファーマーズ・マーケットで買ってきた花束を紹介します。
私の自家製サワー種は、お手入れを始めてから早2年。今では、お手入れが生活の一部になっています。週に数回パンを焼くのですが、焼かないときは、少量のサワー種に小麦粉と水を足し発酵を促進させます。残った種は、パンケーキやワッフルに入れたり、友達にあげたりしています。
今日はそのサワー種の入ったパンケーキ、そしてサワー種で作ったパンのサンドウィッチとトーストをビデオに収めてみました。サンドウィッチは韓国のストリート風卵焼きを挟んだもの、トーストは秋を感じるチャイのフレーバー、そして毎回同じですがハンドドリップのコーヒーも。
併せて、週末に出向いたファーマーズマーケットで調達した秋色が素敵な花束もビデオの最後の方に紹介しています。

Today, I'd like to show you breakfast and coffee made with homemade sourdough, as well as a bouquet of flowers I bought at the farmer's market.
It's been two years since I started caring for my homemade sourdough. Now, caring for the starter has become a part of my life. I bake bread a few times a week, but when I'm not baking, I add flour and water to a small amount of starter to promote fermentation. I put the leftover starter in pancakes or waffles, or give it to friends.
Today, I recorded a video of pancakes made with sourdough, as well as sandwiches and toast made with sourdough.
At the end of the video, I also show you a bouquet of beautiful autumn flowers that I got at the farmer's market on the weekend.
