CORRECTION:- The Roarbox samples should read "Single Speaker - 16 Ohms" and "Both Cabs - 8 Ohms" Get The Celestion Plus IRs from our Affiliate Link Here:- https://www.celestionplus.com/ref/210/ Today we're comparing the sound of speakers in a guitar cabinet when it's wired in series, then wired in parallel (4 ohms then 16 ohms) - it's pretty nerdy stuff, but some people want to know what it sounds like so we're happy to oblige! The Roarback + 4x12 samples were boosted by 6dB, because spreading the load across 2 cabinets makes the volume drop by half (which is exactly 6dB). This behaviour is to be expected, so we matched the level in this case so you could much easier hear any tonal differences, which are more important in a studio context. ------ What gear to buy?
