Marvel’s Spider-Man doesn’t just rest on the laurels of being the video game version of a recognisable icon, he feels, sounds and swings like he always belonged to Insomniac. This was a team determined to put their own stamp on the webhead, and years removed from his first adventure, with two other games bolted on, it’s still a joy to jump back into – even when interviews, art books and leaks have pulled back the mask to show what’s underneath.
