This is part one of a two-part spoon carving with cheap tools tutorial video. Part one will cover creating a spoon blank from a log with a hatchet and folding saw. Wood selection, storing green wood, splitting the log, drawing the spoon and using a hatchet to carve out a spoon blank from a green log.
