Spokane, Portland, and Seattle #700 leaves Salem, Oregon and heads North to Portland, Oregon on a cloudy, wet, dreary, day. The big 4-8-4 is the third largest, third strongest, and third heaviest of all the operational steam locomotives in America. Video quality is not the best as this was taken from a old 8mm tape. The locomotive really starts to work hard as the lead diesel goes into dynamic braking to give the old steamer a workout. This locomotive is currently in overhaul.
