In this basic SPSS overview, Dr. Kaye Sweetser from San Diego State University explains the three different file types there are in SPSS: (1) data .sav file, (2) output .spv file and (3) syntax .sps file. She shows how the data file is set up for data view and variable view. She demonstrates how an output file pops up when you run a procedure in SPSS.
