Starship Flight 8 Happening in HOURS! SpaceX DOUBLE Moon Mission Landed…
We are now just hours away from the next Starship flight, and the excitement is reaching new heights. A quick reminder: liftoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. CST. Every moment counts as SpaceX ramps up final preparations, and all eyes are on Starbase.
Since Booster 15 (B15) arrived at the Launch Site on February 25, the next big milestone was the arrival of Ship 34 (S34). And that moment has finally arrived. On the morning of March 2, S34 left Mega Bay 2, made a brief stop at the Production Site, and then began its journey to the Launch Site. The trip lasted just over an hour, and soon after arriving, S34 was positioned between the Chopsticks—the massive robotic arms used for stacking and potentially catching Starship in the future. At approximately 7:30 p.m., the Chopsticks lifted S34 into the air and stacked it on top of B15, completing one of the final pre-flight steps.

With stacking complete, SpaceX is now just a few hours away from running a wet dress rehearsal (WDR)—a critical test where the fully integrated vehicle is loaded with propellants and run through the launch countdown without actually igniting the engines. Depending on when you're watching this, the test may already be in progress.
Alongside these major preparations, SpaceX has been keeping the public engaged with several notable updates. The company officially confirmed the stacking event on X, posting: “Starship moved to the pad at Starbase ahead of its eighth flight test.” They also released the official live stream link for the mission, making it clear that excitement is building.
