As the carp begin to wake up in spring, the days are getting longer and the upper layers of the water are beginning to warm. So the carp are often taking advantage of this.
Presenting a bait in front of the fish where they feel most comfortable is key to zig fishing, getting the depth and colour right is crucial.
Max Whitehall has always been a huge fan of zig rigs when carp fishing in the spring, so during this session he's using just that, trying to catch some Linear Fisheries, Brasenose 2 carp and showing exactly how he uses them.
