STATA Video #6 Poisson and NB Regression

Sometimes, we use the counts or say the frequencies occurrence as dependent variables. Such as number of children in a household, how many times a week do you read local newspapers, days in hospital last year, and so on. Since our dependent variables do not follow a normal distribution, we need Poisson or Negative Binomial (NB) Regression, instead of linear OLS regression, to draw more reliable conclusions.
