Statistics 101: Type I and Type II Errors - Part 2.
If this video we look at what happens when our data analysis leads us to make a conclusion about a hypothesis that turns out to not align with the actual condition of the population under question. These are called Type I and Type II Errors in statistics. There is no computation in this video as it is purely conceptual and aimed at basic understanding.
We walk through three example problems including in-depth discussions about their interpretations.Verbal explanations of Type I and Type II Errors can be a pain because the language often involves double negatives and phrases that seem to mean the same thing but are different!
