One of the most important things with maintaining steam locomotives is proper lubrication. In this video, we go over the major types of lubrication - oiling and greasing of various flavors for D&RGW 491 at the @crrm . I will note there are a few things not noted - specifically the mechanical lubricator (we really don't run enough to make it a daily thing, and checking the level didn't make the cut), and checking the journal boxes - but everything else specific to the engine on a day-to-day basis is shown in this video.
