Today, I would like to introduce you to a warm porridge made with whole oats, a porridge that you cannot buy at a porridge house. It is made using steel-cut oatmeal, which is only cut two or three times from whole oats without any special process, so it has a different taste.
Let's start making thick vegetable porridge made with oatmeal, steel-cut oatmeal closer to nature.
Ingredients 1 cup = 240ml, 1-2 servings
2 Tablespoons Potatoes
2 tablespoons of onion
2 tablespoons of carrots
2 tablespoons of pumpkin
1/2 cup of mushrooms
1 tbsp oil
1/2 cup steel cut oatmeal
2 cups water or filtered water + 1 cup
1/2 tbsp soy sauce or liquid aminos
salt
1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
1-2 stalks of green onion
black sesame
how to make
1. Finely chop potatoes, onions, zucchini and carrots.
2. Finely chop the mushrooms.
3. Grease a pot or wok pan, add garlic and mushrooms, and stir-fry for 1 to 2 minutes with a pinch of salt.
4. Add chopped vegetables and cut whole oats, mix, add water or vegetable broth, and boil for 4 to 5 minutes.
5. Reduce heat to medium-low, thicken with water, and boil for 35 to 40 minutes while stirring to the bottom.
6. Turn off the heat, season with soy sauce and salt, and serve in a bowl.
7. Add sesame oil and sprinkle with finely chopped green onion and black sesame seeds.
