Someone asked me about this story on a comment here and I knew I heard dad (Roger Nichols) talking about it in one if the lectures we unearthed.
Thanks to Rob Jaczko at Berklee College of Music for finding his lectures in the archives. We have been gathering this stuff for a while for a Roger doc. We have 9 hrs of audio only, from 1985, but we have it!! It's so good!!
