That video was not meant to be a demonstration; we recorded a simple warm-up run as a camera test, which is why it became lifelike.
It shows:
- how low-speed it is possible to ski while carving;
- how to ski a relatively big edge angle even at low speed;
- how to include steering in carving without skidding;
- what a ski technique accessible to any skier looks like;
- which can be a common base technique for pure dynamic carving, recreational skiing, or short turns.
To understand the details, you can watch the video at the original playback speed, 50% or 25% slow motion.
Later, we will publish a more in-depth version of this kind of ski technique with an explanation.
