This video is a step by step beginner hand embroidery full tutorial. It comes for free with each embroidery I sell on my Etsy shop. You can though download the design for free here : https://ko-fi.com/s/2774531d54 Several stitch techniques are used to make these flowers and leaves. These are the stitches I use in my embroideries. It doesn't cover all kind of stitches, these are my personal choices. We will begin by the embroidery preparation : - Material : 00:00:10 - Placing the fabric on the hoop : 00:01:37 - Option 1 : water-soluble pen tracing : 00:03:09 - Option 2 (the one we will use) : stick and stitch paper placing : 00:05:25 - Thread size : 00:05:54 - Thread strands : 00:06:36 - Glide the thread in the needle eye : 00:07:00 - Tie a thread knot : 00:07:21 Then we begin to stitch and we will see : - Water-soluble paper fixation : 00:08:00 - Ending thread at the back : 00:09:53 - Rose stitch : 00:10:40 - Fish bone : 00:22:50 - Stem stitch : 00:30:53 - Split stitch : 00:35:23 - Lazy Daisy : 00:39:03 - Long and short stitch (fill) : 00:48:12 - The well known back stitch : 00:51:28 - "Failed daisy" : 00:54:18 - French knot (dot) (2 twists) : 00:56:00 - French knot (dot) (1 twist) : 00:58:52 - The running stitch (to end the embroidery) : 01:02:17 Ending steps : - Removing transfer paper excedent : 01:01:11 - Wet and remove transfer paper : 01:01:19 - Sculpt and place what moved with water : 01:01:51 - Final result : 01:04:21 You can download the design here : https://ko-fi.com/s/2774531d54 For this tutorial, you need : - A 6" (15 cm) hoop, - A sharp needle, - Embroidery threads (DMC, Anchor, ...) - A 20cm x 20cm cotton fabric piece (I used a beige one) - Scissors - A transferring option : * Water soluble transfer paper (stick and stitch paper) and a printer OR * Trickmarker/chalk pen/water-soluble pen, A4 white paper and printer / a tablet or a screen to put the design on and trace OR * Carbon paper (not shown in this tutorial) OR * Another way to transfer that you know Optional tools : - Support for the hoop, - Plier, - Non-sharp needle, - Thread cutter, - Zigzag scissors, - ... The color used are : - Beige (DMC 822) (optional - to hold the transfer paper) - Green (DMC 92) - Light pink (DMC 818) - Dark pink (DMC 957 - not 3806 as mentioned in the video) This design comes with every embroidery pattern purchased on my Etsy shop : https://embroiderybysylvana.etsy.com Hope you will have fun.
