Walkthrough of the process to troubleshoot a Stihl 034 Chainsaw that's not starting or is bogging down under load. Common problems are plugged exhaust ports, fuel lines, air filters or carburetors.
In this case it was a plugged carburetor that was fixed with carb cleaner and compressed air.
Once started, the L fuel adjustment and idle screws should be reset. Start by turning the L screw completely clockwise until it stops and then back it off (counter clockwise) one full turn. If it's not getting enough power, continue to turn it counterclockwise in quarter or half turn increments.
