We’re upgrading the brakes on our car so that they stop doing this
We’re modifying this Subaru to make it faster than a Lamborghini for £15,000. So far we’ve fitted a new clutch, a set of coilovers, some semi-slick tyres and we’ve also completely stripped the interior to save weight.
Before we did anything, we went to the track to get a benchmark lap on the standard brakes
So 1:22.4 is a second and a half quicker than before (1:23.92) and leaves us with just under 6 seconds to find to beat the Lambo.
For science, we did that same braking test 5 times over to see how consistent it would be with the completely shot stock discs and pads.
