Let's work through the stone working processes as I take two different slabs of cut agate, and turn them into unreal cabochons! The two agate slabs are moss agate (location unknown) and Missouri agate. I pick shapes for our cabochons, draw them on the slabs, cut them out and cut as much off the preshaped cabs with my 6" Hi Tech Diamond saw. I then, using my Cabking, grind out the shape and dome the cabochons on my 220 diamond grit wheels. Then I worked through the REZ wheels and finish the polishing process at the 3,000 grit. These cabochons are truly beautiful to the eye but really blossom when are exposed under a macro lens (watch until the end to see macro pictures). ALL my equipment can be found linked below.
