It will eat the aluminium of your EGR valve! There are plenty of videos showing cleaning of EGR valves with oven cleaner. These will include variety of oven cleaners, Mr muscle foam and gel and other brands. Most EGR valves are made of aluminium, it is a great heat conductor. Most oven cleaners are made of potassium hydroxide (KOH) or sodium hydroxide (NaOH) or a combination of both. KOH and NaOH will react with the aluminium of your EGR valve and will dissolve it.
