In 2016 Ryan Friedlinghaus began down a path he's always dreamt of, and West Coast Customs Academy was born. The idea of bringing students into a working shop was unheard of in the automotive industry, yet it didn't stop Ryan. In July of 2022, five young men entered the world-famous West Coast Customs only to find out their build was going to be an epic one. Ryan tasked the five students with recreating the first truck he ever owned; a Mazda B2000 mini truck. The shop team all participated in teaching the students the most elite methods of restoring a vehicle. Eight weeks later... well, you can see for yourself what the first breed of West Coast Customs Academy was able to do in such a short amount of time.
