I went to the Margiela exhibition held in Ebisu, Tokyo.
The exhibition was also held at the Omotesando store and DSMG, so I took photos there as well.
Editing took so long that it looks like the exhibition is almost over.
Photography was allowed, so I hope that it will serve as an archive record while also conveying the overall atmosphere for those who were unable to come to see it from afar.

"Maison Margiela will hold an exhibition in Ebisu, Tokyo, showcasing the 2024 Artisanal collection from multiple angles.
The exhibition is a post-mortem exhibition devised by creative director John Galliano to examine the haute couture collection from various angles. The exhibition will examine the collection from multiple angles, from the inspirations from the early stages of conception, to the use of experimental techniques, to the stories told through the looks. Visitors can enjoy the exhibition while listening to an audio guide in which John Galliano himself talks about his sources of inspiration and techniques.
To commemorate the opening of this exhibition, looks from the 2024 Artisanal collection will be exhibited in the window of Maison Margiela Omotesando from October 18th.
Additionally, on the first floor of Dover Street Market Ginza, four looks, including characters drawn by manga artist Tite Kubo, will be exhibited from October 26 to November 24, along with a two-storey window installation depicting scenes from the collection using Kubo's illustrations of the moon and rain. Additionally, a special Maison Margiela Bookstore will be set up on the third floor of the store to showcase the books that John Galliano researched and drew inspiration from in creating his 2024 Artisanal collection.
