今回はフランスの伝統菓子ガレット・デ・ロワの食べ比べ会に参加してきました。
フランスでは毎年１月６日(キリスト教の公現祭)にガレット・デ・ロワを食べる習慣があります。
１月に入ると、パン屋さん、パティスリー、スーパー、マルシェなど至る所で販売されます。４人前以上の大きさのガレット・デ・ロワにはフェーヴという陶器でできた小さな人形が入っており、切り分けたガレット・デ・ロワの中にフェーヴが入っていると、その１年は幸運が訪れると言われています。
今回は３店舗のガレット・デ・ロワを食べ比べ、それぞれの感想を動画の最後に簡単にまとめたので、来年以降パリでガレット・デ・ロワを購入する際に、少しでも参考になれば嬉しく思います。
The other day I participated in an event where we compared several "galettes des rois", literally meaning a cake of a king in French.
French people eat this traditional cake on the 6th of January to celebrate the Epiphany.
In January, you can find the cake in almost all of bakeries and cake shops in France. there is a small toy made from ceramics inside. You cut it, share with someone and if you find the toy, it brings you happiness through the year.
