Shelter Island fishing today was really good. More fish today than yesterday.We had a very good food that we shared with friends. Perch are starting to bite also and they are biting Ghost Shrimps that my friends pumped .
All of the usual bay species can be caught from the pier, including but not limited to; barred sand bass, spotted bay bass, calico bass, halibut, sharks, bat rays, bonito, barracuda, croaker (several species), mackerel, shovelnose guitarfish and much more.
There are no fees or permits required and a California Sport Fishing License is not required while fishing from the pier. However, California Department of Fish and Wildlife does enforce state fishing regulations.
