In this Sunrise on the Reaping review, we'll be taking a look at the new Hunger Games book Suzanne Collins has just gifted to us (because this book was a GIFT). Safe to say, I loved it.
In this first part of the review, we'll cover most of the pre-Games stuff including Haymitch Abernathy's life before the Hunger Games, as well as the first third(ish) of the book. (I ended up talking to my camera for THREE hours, so a second part of this review is still in the works!)

There are some Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes spoilers in this video, so please proceed with caution if you haven't read that one yet (though I highly recommend reading that book before this one - lots of things tie together about President Snow's past).
I would love to hear your thoughts about the book (favorite new characters? favorite scenes?) Let me know in the comments!

Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins covers Haymitch's Hunger Games (the 50th annual Hunger Games AND second Quarter Quell). The story focuses on the themes of propaganda and it's ability to influence people, as well as what it means to believe in humanity's ability to change.
