I attempt to make a more compact, strong, and stable work surface by taking a swing at a simple re-design to a conventional portable table.
In my opinion, most conventional designs are flawed because the mechanism that allows the table to be collapsable is also responsible for carrying a fair amount of load when used as a table.
For my first prototype, I attempt to remove the load from the folding mechanisms to allow me to make a much stronger portable table that could even be used as a portable workbench.
