The hearing on the petitions filed against the Waqf Act amendment is going on in the Supreme Court for the second consecutive day (Wednesday). On the second day, the central government presented its side on the Waqf Act. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta from the central government strongly presented the legal side. SG Tushar Mehta said that we have taken the opinion of 97 lakh people for the amendment in the Waqf Act. The petitioners do not represent the entire Muslim community.
